Kim: The 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Exercise Rehabilitation
The 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Exercise Rehabilitation will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Emerald Hall of the Songdo Central Park Hotel.
I would like to thank Professor Jun-Su Kim of Eulji University for reserving the venue for this conference and Professor Eun-Surk Yi of Gachon University for preparing refreshments. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who prepared oral and poster presentations for the conference. The presentations and the discussions that follow are the essence of the conference. I believe that exercise rehabilitation can develop through such fierce discussions. There are many unseen preparations for holding an academic conference, and I would like to thank the many people who took care of all of this work.
The theme of this academic conference has been set as “Exploring various fields of exercise rehabilitation.” After the exciting academic conference commemorating the 20th anniversary of the foundation last year, we would like to return to a more calm academic conference atmosphere. I am very doubtful about the extent of the technology or academic field that falls within the realm of exercise rehabilitation. How far can the independent scope of exercise rehabilitation be included? Are there any overlaps with other academic fields? I think all of these are unstable and there is no firmly established field.
Therefore, the topic of “Exploring various fields of exercise rehabilitation” is an area that exercise rehabilitation will pioneer in the future, but it also has the aspect of securing a field that must be shared with other academic fields. I think that rather than becoming an exclusive relationship with other academic fields, it is a point where expansion of the field is more necessary. To this end, we need much discussion and exploration. Of course, the end is not clearly visible, but we need to always move forward like a traveler on the road. Like a traveler walking toward an invisible destination...
I hope that today’s academic conference will be a small step, but it will become a footstep for the academic field of exercise rehabilitation, and I would like to express my gratitude and encouragement to all of you who have joined us in this journey.
